That shouldn't matter one whit! As MAJORITY LEADER, it is up to Frist to reign in the doggy ones, by whatever means necessary. He not only didn't, he has no bloody idea how to.

For starters, Frist will have to compete against this;

McCain, DeWine, Snowe, Warner, Chafee, Collins need to be double teamed by Frist and the President. The President needs to use the bully pulpit, instead of wasting time talking blah blah at Calvin College.

The way past leaders reigned in their troops and PRIOR to this debacle. You take away perks and privileges and committee chair posts and MONEY and everything else you can think of. You makes their lives a living hell and you promises them the world ( who cares if you don't deliver? ) down the road, for hanging in there. How else do you think it works? *sigh*
