From APnews:

Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn., swiftly noted he had not been a party to the deal, which fell short of his stated goal of winning yes-or-no votes on each of Bush's nominees. "It has some good news and it has some disappointing news and it will require careful monitoring," he said

Democratic leader Harry Reid of Nevada seemed more receptive - although he hastened to say he remains opposed to some of the nominees who will now likely take seats on federal appeals courts.

"We have sent President George Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and the radical right of the Republican party an undeniable message ... the abuse of power will not be tolerated."

A win for our side? I don't think so.

Agreed. Reid's nasty statement says it all.

NOTHING has changed, except the GOP senators who permitted Maverick to make fools 'em.

'..Reid..message to Bush...abuse of power will not be tolerated...'

I emailed McCain and company asking if their intent was to send message to President?
So, they thought they could trust the Dims.....didn't take long for them to show their true colors. Told them....if I thought the Dems could be trusted I would have voted for them....but, now I'm finding some Republicans can't be trusted either.

amazing how YESTERDAY Reid thought Owen and Brown were too extremist to get an up or down vote but,well.....now, we have an "agreement" so.....guess they're not sooooo extreme!
Hypocrites!
