I think he knows the democrats well... give McCain and his groupies this one, the nuke is coming... Bush knows democrats aren't trustworthy, but McCain doesn't, and he's going learn that fact the hard way.

Then, you realize that the U.S. Senate's agenda is set by feckless "moderates," so you campaign for more conservative Republicans and a larger GOP governing majority.
Then, you discover to your horror that the same tiresome middling leftist policies are being enacted, so you exhort a more conservative leadership to take the reins of power.
Still, the same unpalatable results.
