The following link from Project Vote Smart shows Senator Frist's ratings from various interest groups. Groups that have given him a rating of 100 for a given year include National Right to Life, American Farm Bureau, US Chamber of Commerce, and Eagle Forum. He has received 0 ratings from NARAL, Planned Parenthood, ACLU and NEA. Sure sounds conservative to me.

The only area Frist is not conservative is health care. On that issue he is a moderate, preferring more government control. Other than that, he is just like most Republican senators. A little challenged in the spine department.
