Are yellow and blue the official colors of Senate charts?

It appears that way!

Burns is kind of rambling. He is not that great of a speaker. But he beats the hell out of Baucuss as a Senator.

Burns- All nominees committed to interpreting law as relates to Constitution of America.

(This is why the Liberals do not wish them on the Court)

Burns- Were Byrd and Dole rubber stamp Senators? Wonds if there is a radical Left. LOL!

It is through obstructionism that this crisis looms with us today.

The "sensory overload" comment,a long with the rant against the internet, Fox News, Blackberries, etc..is key..it means that he resents bitterly the new age of immediate transparency..and the fact that Dems can't keep on being liberals in DC, then say they are conservative when back home..

I saw some of the Republican fence sitters on the w/e rounds and at least 2 of them was pretty sure they would vote for the Constitutional Option if the "extra ordinary" language was not taken out of the compromise. These Republicans stated the obvious, it's too subjective.

"My party represents more people in America than the Republican party does." Bwa-ha ha ha ha ha!!!!

If that's the case, enough of those people voted Republican to keep them in the minority, so what does that say for their party. LOL

Actually they were talking about a poll on Fox and Friends this morning and only 14% of Americans are even paying attention to this issue and are interested. Most Americans are just too busy to be bothered.

It is 17 months until the next elections. This will be a non-issue in every Senate race in 2006. People care about their senator, not the Senate as a whole. The average voter's recollection span is about 3-4 weeks, at best.

Additionally, should the RATS and their media handmaidens try to nationalize this issue, we counter with the fact that the RATS and the MSM were trying to deny a white woman from Texas and a black woman from California an overdue job promotion. How is that going to sell? Not too well.

RATS are holding a losing hand on this, and they know it. If they and the MSM persist, they will be increasingly seen by average Americans as the hypocrites that they truly are.

By golly, I think you are right. But he's just coming on board. Hillary! has been aware of the danger for some time. By the way, I'm pretty sure Byrd called them "Black Birds" rather than "Blackberries." ;)

Ah, a sane man speaks.

No sane person would COMPROMISE with the Democrats. We are where we are because McCain and his pack of RINO's are behind closed doors COMPROMISING with the same idiots who have made it a going concern to destroy the Bush administration and the fabric of this country any way they could.

Burns- Are we dumbing down the Judiciary when the brightest have voluntered to serve and been denied? They don't want appointees by President Bush.

Constitution trumps any rule they make. Damn. Excellant point. he brought it home with that simple truth.

W has shown he has the fighting spirit of a riverboat gambler..So, muy longshot prediction, fearlessly made her, today.s that after these 7 are confirmed shortly, when Rehnquist retires, the nominee for the SC vacany will be Miguel Estrada. No way W lets him get lost in the shuffle. Estrada was the point man, on the receiving end, for years of invective and slander. He merits a vote. Why am I convoinved he will get the nod. Simply becase, after he withrew his name, he has NOT taken any public speeches or articles to defend hiself or lambast the Dems and the process. He has maintained a "candidate" profile. The only thing I'm not sure of is if Estrada gets the CJ slot, or if that goes to Scalia or THomas..

There is essentially no compromising or formal process underway; it is a myth and figment of MSM imagination.

All the talk about a compromise means just one thing: Frist has the votes, and the MSM doesn't like it.

Tough noogies.

O-Kay, while I don't disagree with the point, I would state my comment refered to Hatch taking the floor after Bryd and Biden. It doesn't have anything to do with the actions of the RINO's.
