Don't know about the Episcopalians. My experience has been with Baptist, Nondenominational Christian, Nazarene and Pentecostal.

The bottom line that I have seen is that they all have an intense love of Christ.

That's what's important to me.

Everything else is window dressing evidenced by the equal amount of across the board disciplined believers and the fringers.

I do believe those churches you mention are close to Catholicism in morality though different in doctrine and style. The trouble with the Episcopal church is they want to keep all the parts about God's love for us but they want to leave out most of the parts about good and evil and being fallen creatures, and all the icky stuff. Like abortion and euthanazia, and homosexuality, and death penalty, and all the other difficult questions which aren't really so difficult, they just make people angry.

Not saying the Catholic church is righteous, no group of humans is, but they take a stand. That's all I can ask for.

p.s. when I was a child the Episcopal Church was perfectly respectable and strong for Christ. They have lost their way, and I can't stay to try to help shepherd them back anymore, I've tried.
