New Hampshire, New England, New York, New Albany ~ hey, that one's in Indiana even!
We recently assisted a young lady who wanted to go to Bloomington, Indiana. She'd asked the driver as he started to head up I74 "Does this bus go to Bloomington", and he said "Yes, it does". He didn't add that it went to Bloomington, IL and Bloomington, MN. Thank goodness she didn't ask to be returned to Springfield!
It seems that some of our forefathers were less than creative when they named towns. I drove a taxi in Newport News, Virginia (one of the few unique names around here). I picked up an Englishman at the airport and as he read the signs on the Interstate he felt right at home. We have Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Hampton, Gloucester
