Just ban all visas (indeed, all entries into the U.S.) from islamic countries, and all islamic names.
Ninety percent of the problem solved. And we can save trillions in not devising ways to abuse our own citizens in the name of "safety".
(I do not consider muslims who abtain citizenship fraudulently actually to be citizens).
Oh, yeah there have been Sooo many "abuses" of American citizens. Why just the other day after my regular beating I was complaining about it to a friend who was OUTRAGED that the government was empowered to monitor use of certain materials in public libraries. And so many others are atwitter about such things.
Nice simple fantasies such as banning all of this that or the other thing ignore some realpolitick considerations a Great Power must consider. For one we need the cooperation of some muslims to assist in Iraq and Afganistan and it also would not be a wise idea to stick our fingers in the eyes of other allies like Pakistan and Saudi.
Muture consideration is always preferable to rash, thoughtless though attractive actions.
