I think the media is out to cripple the Bush adminstration...and if it kills our soldiers, or causes a civil war, or if Mr. Bush gets assassinated, it doesn't matter. They are at war with him and his policies.

As classic parasites, a Zawahiri or al-Zarqawi wants Western sophisticated weapons and playthings — without the bothersome foundations that made them all possible.

This article reminds me of one of Mark Steyn's articles from a couple months back where he started off the column with a muslim rumor about muslims having their testicles fall off because they had done business with an infidel. The sad thing about it was not so much the rumor, but how the rumor was spreading.....by cellphone text messaging.

Hanson also picks up on this salient point in this article; the technology of the twenty-first century is becoming commonplace, unfortunately the same can't be said of the responsible western civilization that created it. This is why the success of Iraq is so important, as it will bring the backwards forwards. In a time where nuclear weaponry is more of a factor of accessibility than ingenuity, it is all the more crucial that we succeed.

As we learned on September 11, they try to kill us now with our own appurtenances before they are buried themselves under modernism, liberality, and freedom. That really is what this war is about: a last-ditch effort by primordial fascists to prevent the liberalization of the Muslim world and the union of Islamic society with the protocols found in the rest of the globe and which many in the Middle East prefer if given a chance.

A powerful article to be read and absorbed. I think VDH has given us indisputable "talking points" for use with lib postmodernist America haters.
