BRAC is why they tried to get rid of Rummy last winter. We didn't let it happen, but it was anticipated they'd behave like whiny brats when this list came out.
I can only tell them that, imo, IF they vote against us, the W.H. has no reason to even consider saving a base. If they work WITH us, the door might creep open. They stand to lose everything by not ending the filibuster. especially those that NEVER work with this administration on anything.
That would be funny! But I don't think he will do that!

This kind of back room deal making re: the bases, and such, is my second on the list of worst things about politicians..
The first is the lies...that SOME tell, but it has gotten to where you don't know which politicians we can really trust---not new, always been this way, probably, but I was busy raising a family and never paid this much attention before---
Also, I don't think the stakes have been as high before--if a dem gets in in 2008 as POTUS and undoes all of the good that the Bush Doctrine has accomplished, well I wouldn't even want to contemplate what kind of world my granddaughters will have when they grow up!
