I hear that Laura is now talking of chemo. She is 40 and was looking to start a family. Chemo many times will make that NOT an option. That may have had a part in the decision.

That seems to be true in a few cases. One of my classmates I grew up with, he got Hodgkin's Disease, I think he had radiation and chemo, he was cured but he was rendered sterile. Good news though, he and his wife just adopted a baby girl born to a teenage mom. Sometimes, I think maybe God puts people like that on this Earth for that purpose of adopting kids who need a home. I know to many people, the joys of biological parenting is great but there are also other options to share the love which is much needed in this world today.
