For such a seasoned Sen. Kennedy should know that there's no such thing as a reserve to object. He was rightly told that by the Chair!

Actually, Senators are allowed to "reserve the right to object", and then speak on the thing they might object to. I think Brownback got sick of it being done several times, however, with nothing constructive coming of it, and simply ruled it out of order.

Watching the swimmer get slapped was fun.

But I CAN'T WAIT to see BYRD slapped down. I know there are many on these threads who fully expect the pubbies to cave on this. I disagree. I think Frist has the votes, has been biding his time for the most opportune time, and will go to the mats on this.

The Dems probably think they're holding Byrd in reserve for some last minute chicanery. But I think the pubbies have anticipated every parliamentary rule he might try and will be ready to slap Byrd down, too.

Now, THAT I want to see!
