I liked Spanish Prisoner.....he directs like his dialogue...a play.
Ronin I liked a lot....but that was Frankenheimer directed as you pointed out.
And any flick with Jean Reno, De Niro, Skarsgard, Pryce, Natasha McElhone, and Michael Lonsdale has to at least be entertaining.
In particular the film of 'Glengarry Glen Ross' is astonishingly good. In James Foley's other movies his style is overheated and tiresome. As Mamet's dialogue can be flat and stilted under his own direction. This was a perfect mix of screenplay and director.
