Aristotle, poems by Catellus, Sophocles - but none of them mention history.

79AD was around the time of the most incredible event in history - the work of Jesus and the beginning of the Christian church. The historical events of the time must have been fascinating. I find it amazing that poetry is what motivates these men.

I would be thrilled to see historical accounts.

So would I. The historical accounts and priceless original doocuments tell far more than the walls and structures of an ancient city do.
