I could be wrong - but I do not think I so :

Michael Isikoff at Newsweek was the one who sat on and covered up the Monica Lewinski story that they had researched and written well before Matt Drudge dropped the bombshell and made the Clintonista MSM suddenly play catch-up because they were caught pimping for Slick Willie.

Isn't it interesting how the same scum (Isikoff/Newsweak) keep floating to the top of the pond? Isikoff had the goods on the Clinton/Lewinsky scandal but sat on it for weeks, cross-checking facts, double-checking, triple-checking, and still ended up spiking it because it would hurt Clinton. Yet along comes an unnamed single-source, non-credible story that is perceived to somehow damage Bush and the U.S. effort in the WOT, and they run the thing as if it were the gospel truth.

With this kind of agenda-driven laziness and incompetence, the sooner the lamstream press withers away and dies, the better. We don't need 'Rat-party hacks posing as reliable sources of information. Better to have "alternate media" than lying, ideological "traditional" media.
