PETA Kills Animals!
Human Events Online ^ | 5-14-05 | Chris Field

Well, the guys over at the Center for Consumer Freedom have done it again. They are experts at tweaking the noses of those on the Left who believe that you're too stupid to know what foods you should eat and that animals are more important than humans. Their latest stroke of genius is a new website -- http://www.petakillsanimals.com/ -- that tells of the animals that PETA has had killed at its shelter at its Norfolk, Va., headquarters.

Why is PETA doing this? Because it's too expensive for them to keep the animals alive and they have other financial priorities. The website makes the point thusly:

"PETA raked in nearly $29 million last year in income, much of it raised from pet owners who think their donations actually help animals. Instead, the group spends huge sums on programs equating people who eat chicken with Nazis, scaring young children away from drinking milk, recruiting children into the radical animal-rights lifestyle, and intimidating businessmen and their families in their own neighborhoods. PETA has also spent tens of thousands of dollars defending arsonists and other violent extremists.

"PETA claims it engages in outrageous media-seeking stunts 'for the animals.' But which animals? Carping about the value of future two-piece dinners while administering lethal injections to puppies and kittens isn't ethical. It's hypocritical -- with a death toll that PETA would protest if it weren't their own doing."

Wonderful.

Aww shut up.... just to satisfy your greedy little tongues.

We shoot, we SCORE!

Notice how the troll changes the subject. PETA gets all bent out of shape when OTHER's euthanize animals, but when they are caught doing the same thing they -- guess what -- change the subject! Suddenly it's NOT about euthanizing strays, it's about OUR eating preferences.

Does criticizing PETA make you feel less guilty about eating meat ?

It is mathematically impossible for me to feel any less guilty about eating meat. I'd have to start feeing it was positively meritorious. Does changing the subject from the massive hypocrisy of PETA make you feel any less guilty about supporting a bunch of lying vandals?

Have a nice day. I love the smell of Viking kitties in the morning ....

Hey Hosengulper,

How come you little animal rights weenies always protest against women wearing fur, but you don't protest at a biker bar against wearing leather?

>how in some cases, the shelter killed animals rather than permitting them to be adopted!<

But, but, don't you understand? PETA would NEVER put one of our animal peers into a position of SLAVERY! Don't you understand that PETA realizes that no sentient being would ever want to live under such a system, and would rather be dead than to live as a mere POSESSION???

< /sarcasm>

There's no defense like a good offense.

No it's not. Dead is dead, and a rat is a cat is a rhinocerous is NOT a child.

Why don't you go to http://www.naiaonline.org/ and beat your pointy head against the nearest wall.

Actually I prefer the 'sledge hammer to the head' method. As a kid I'd ride my bike over to the Chicago Union Stockyards and watch them slaughter sheep that way - it was pretty neat to watch.

****Does criticizing PETA make you feel less guilty about eating meat?****

Uh.. no. As if God didn't want us to eat meat, he wouldn't have made it taste so good.

Mmmmm... Steak!

I have nothing against eating meat but there are a lot of animals that are treated barbarously. I have seen a chicken laying farm where 3 to 5 chickens are stuffed into a small cage and lay eggs and when they stop doing that they are "ethically" put to death. I've seen small pigs put into single stalls where they can't turn around and bake in the hot S. California sun. Cows too. Horses and other animals that live in a grassless mud hole with no shade from the sun.

Just yesterday here in Denver a cat was held by some worthless POS while another person shot 3 blow gun darts into the cats face. One dart went in just next to the cats eye and out the back of its head. The cat did survive. We've had dogs poisoned by radiator coolant which is a slow very painful death. 2 A**hole teenagers thought it would be fun to splash gas on cats, set them on fire and throw them out of the window of a moving car. And how about the dog chained out back? And on and on.

Greepeace gets nailed with an environmental violation in Alaska. Now PETA is found to be killing animals.

The armies of duplicity march ever onward.

PETA doesn't care about animals, it's not about the animals. This is just another facist organization of the extremist left that WANTS TO CONTROL YOUR BEHAVIOR. It is about the liberal mentality deciding what one should and shouldn't be allowed to do. That is facism. Now many leftist exttremist would think tha the religous right is facist because we call black, black and white, white, but we respect the God given right to choose. People know when the do wrong, for instance homosexulaity or abortion; and they have emotional pain about their choice--hence the substance abuse and depression associated with these things. It isn't that the right is trying to control them, but that the right isn't telling them their behavior is o.k. so they can feel good about themselves. I don;t think lighting a cat on fire is a good thing to do, but guess what I am not going to try and stop you. The extremist left in this country is. THEY ARE FACIST!!

Could someone please post a link that actually shows that PETA really does kill ADOPTABLE animals? It may euthanize some animals that are dying already.

You knee-jerk sheeple are really amazing.

All information on Google leads back to the same organization that is funded by Tyson Chicken, the cigarette lobby and othe special interest groups.

Please people, do your research and dont' parrot out what some obese millionare (Penn and Teller) shouts at you from your television.
