You miss the point :-)
While the current administration attempts to limit the stem cell research and bio-genetical research, the China authorities actually encourage it. Do you know what is the ONLY thing they ban in the bio-research? They ban reproductive human cloning, but only it.

The actual point is, that a nation that stifles scientific progress, in some point of history will surely become technologically and economically weaker then the nation that encourages it. Thus, In a few years, China will have an advantage in biological sciences.

Are you saying China will have a biological/technological development advantage over the US because the students in Kansas will be taught the weaknesses with the theory of evolution? Seems to me learning more about problems with evolution would be a way to encourage more scientific discourse.
