What Christianity did he display?
All I heard from him was psychobabble. (alas, much like the book everyone heralded as so 'wonderful' in this story)
I shan't go find the articles, but the kidnapping victim gave interviews and talked about his interest in Christianity and questions he asked.
It may not be your version of Christianity, and you may not think much of the book A Purpose Driven Life, but from her interviews, he did seem genuinely interested in Christianity.
And isn't forgiveness one of the tenets of Christianity?
