No surprise to me. I would be willing to pay $6/gallon just to get rid of all the SUVs on the road.

What is your main complaint re; SUV's?
Mileage?
Size?
My daughter has a Honda Element SUV, it's ugly but gets 25mpg. Would you have a problem with this SUV?
Just trying to figure out where you're coming from.

(My Wrangler doesn't count, right? It's not really an SUV)

Why? We have a Yukon and it gets pretty good gas mileage. Plus, it was one of the few vehicles that will stop his large bass fishing boat where he wants it to stop. It is comfortable to drive even for me a shortie like me. Believe me, if I can drive that large thing in Atlanta traffic, I can drive it anywhere. It has large cargo space for all the things he needs to get from one place to another.

You may want them to go but I sure don't.
I would venture to say the rider or driver of a SUV has more of a chance of living when coming in contact with a BIG RIG.
I have small children and love my family to much to put them in danger. Why would I do this, just to save a few dollars at the gas station and satisfy a few pinkos and their desire to tell everyone else how to live.
We would not be in this crunch if the environuts and left wing idiots of years past had not placed so many idiotic laws on getting new refineries built.
