My fear is that its over-confident people like you who will bring about the downfall of USA, beware its loosing friends fast.
In 19th century, compared to the rest of the world Great Britain was much more powerfull than US is right now. And it could'nt sustain it. US has had only a decade and a half of sole world domination and already there are signs of declining power with respect to the rest of the world.
It has lost major allies, unless you count Poland as one.
Real strength of US doesnt lie in the weapons it produces, it is just a fringe benefit of being able to attract the smartest. Its the freedom and opportunity which is a magnet. Its the declaration of rights (and thats why i say US is declining).
And people like you are doing no favour to US in attracting smart people.BTW people with an IQ of 188 don't need to use hyphenated words at the rate at which you use them.

How would you know what we need?
Why, you haven't yet even noticed that the United States of America has stood astride the world these past 200+ years, not 15 and has, during those past 200 years, been -- and remains -- the greatest Nation to have ever existed.
You haven't noticed that for more than one hundred and fifty years -- not 15 -- America has both vaguarded and guarded Judeo-Christian/Western ["Human," that is] Civilization -- and has for almost one hundred years been the only Nation on the planet capable of projecting, to any place on Earth, the kind of power that has kept the world safe from barbarism -- and that there is not a single FRee Man on this planet who does not owe his FReedom to the willing sacrifice of American Blood and Treasure!
You also have not noticed that our Christian Nation is unique in Human History as the only one ever to have been Founded in and to stand upon the Principle of Individual Liberty and to have never gained an inch of any other people's or state's land or territory by way of aggression.
Or that the United States of America is about as "similar" to the Nineteenth Century once-great Britain to which you compare it [And which we had in any case defeated during the American War of Independence] as it is to -- say 2005 North Korea and/or Burma/myanmar.
And as for being attractive to and a magnet for emigrants/immigrants? It worked for this bright, intelligent and patriotic, born-a-"british-subject," hyphenated American.*
Our beloved FRaternal Republic surely attracted me!
