Matt. 25:40 - And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Most people believe this refers only to the down trodden, the sick, the lame, the feeble. However, Jesus does say, "my brethren" - which I would presume would classify as every believer.
When your Pastor is struggling to start a church, do we show up early and help set up ..?? or do we show up late and then complain that we couldn't get a good seat. Do we stay late after the service to heap tear down ..?? or do we bug out right after the service and leave the Pastor and his family to tear everything down ..??
If GOD has placed a Pastor over us as a shepherd - then we have a responsibility to do our part .. just as if we were doing it unto Jesus.
So if your pastor isn't acting/teaching like Jesus should we still do the same? What about all the passages about rebuking false teachers (and there are plenty of them...)? Did Paul get upset that the Bereans picked apart his message to verify it?
Amen!
Thankfully, that was one area my parents were great models in. Grew up with that mind set.
