The only ghouls I see are the ones who keep rehashing this case over and over again, as if to expect a different outcome. That's ghoulish. Americans are quite good at remembering temporary defeats for all that is right and good:
"Remember the Alamo!"
"Remember the Maine!"
"Remember Pearl Harbor!"
"Never forget 9-11!"
"The Holocaust? Never again!"
"Terri Schiavo? Never again..."
Obviously even Pope Benedict didn't think she was as important as the Alamo, 911 or Pearl Harbor. He didn't see fit to grant the Schlinders even a private audience. They met him in an outside scheduled weekly public audience. It was very sad to see them push a picture of Teri off on him. Enough already.
I can't believe anyone would elevate her case to the level as The Alamo, 9-11 or Pearl Harbor.
