Norway has oil, Slovakia has beautiful mountains, Nebraska has... ehm.. prairie? (and wonderful people of course). No offense meant, but frankly, what have those countries in common? I of course love Slovakia and Nebraska and (a bit less) Norway.
Forget the terrain, friend.
Terrain is superficial.
Norwegians, Slovaks, and Nebraskans all have a whole lot of personal characteristics in common, one of them being our scarcity.
There are just not many Norwegians, Slovaks, and Nebraskans around--Hades, compared with Nebraska, the "small" country Austria is a behemothic colossus.
Poland might as well be China, compared with Norway or Slovakia.
There are lots and lots of similarities, but generally, there are so few of us that no one pays attention to us (Norwegians, Slovaks, Nebraskans); they don't even ignore us.
