Great, ill bet you think skerry would have been a better potus than the wacko right wing christian - W eh?? Nope. But then I don't consider Bush to be "wacko". Pat Robertson, on the other hand...
I have vastly greater trust that Bush will support our Constitution than I do that Robertson will. Obviously Robertson appears quite willing to ignore the Constitution and its Article VI, as indicated by his desire to exclude all Muslims from being judges.

There is no need for condescension here, and please stop hawking your website to me, if I feel there is information to be gleaned from there I will visit it. I admit I am getting a little frustrated, I am trying to engage is some discourse and your every rebuttal seems to insult my understanding of "Islam" and then you simply citing a website. Like I said, if you have so much experience, refute everything I have said instead of just imply I don't know what I am talking about.
Is it at all possible, that is it not condescension on my part, but rather a lack of humility and respect on your part.
FaithFreedom is NOT my website and I am not hawking it to you. You asked questions and I directed you there because I felt that you might find what you are looking for there without engaging me all day on the subject. A simple "thank you I'll check it out" would have been enough.
You are frustrated because you want instant gratification. Slow down and take it easy. You will learn.
Knowledge and wisdom are not synonymous.

Here you ago again with this age thing, again it just illustrates how weak your argument is that you constantly have to bring this back in to the picture.
"Open your eyes and look at the carnage being waged around the world by islam, from africa to europe, russia, to the phillipines, jacarta to yes even asia, a true look and you will have to see islam is a murderous entity at best."
I see the carnage being waged around the world, but it is not waged by Islam, it is waged by monstrous MEN!!! under the name of a religion. But they do not represent it in its entirety. You can't paint with as broad of a brush stroke as you are painting. There are 100's of millions of Muslims who want nothing more than to live in freedom and peace, the same as any other human. After all the nature yearning of the human spirit is for freedom, not shackles. It is unfair to judge them all by the antics of a comparatively small band of lunatics operating on the fringes of the religion.

American Muslims have long been contributing members of American society. Diogenes, could you post your List of all the contributions that this cult has contributed to America/the world? (I can't find it.)

" You are frustrated because you want instant gratification."
So now your telling me why I feel the way I do, that is a little presumptuous? No I am frustrated because you keep implying that I don't know what I am talking about, but never refute what I say.

Sad, isn't it? I really don't understand what makes Robertson tick. He's too well educated and smart to say some of the things he says out of sheer ignorance. But I am not sure how what he says advances any agenda he might believe in. It seems more often than not that what he says backfires against it. Maybe the guy just loves attention.

And yet a supernatural being is not a requirement of a religion.
Can't I rightfully consider any set of beliefs that are pursued with a conscientious devotion a 'religion'?
Communism a religion?

Anything involving a priori assumptions that are not subject to the scientific method of evaluating has certain religious overtones.

No communism is not a religion because it does not meet the following definition.
Dictionary: Religion - Belief in and reverence for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator and governor of the universe.
Since communism does not believe in a supernatural Deity it does not fit the definition. That is why we call it a philosophy. There are in fact religions that are mistakenly called religions such as Buddhism or taoism which are actually more akin to philosophies because of their lack of a supernatural Deity.

Um, a simple search into my past forum activities will illustrate why that statement is absurd. But I am starting to expect that sorts of remarks from you.
To: Ksnavely
That is an interesting definition but I doubt it is the most useful one when it comes to matters of public policy.

"Satan = diety with supernatural powers also.
islam serves satan.
"youll know them by their fruits"
islam = MURDER, chaos, slavery, repression, and DEATH."
Your deductive reasoning leaves a little to be desired (hint one or more of your premises is flawed, by flawed I mean has little or no evidence to validate the claim) ergo your final analysis is off.
To: Torie
Tell that to the dictionary, its not my definition.
To: Wild Bill 10
Ah, yes...a cult of death/murder.
The List that Diogenes keeps posting, puts their contributions into gut-wrenching, jaw-dropping CLARITY.
