Notice, that both you and I communicated the usage of the f-word without actually spelling it out. Malkin could have done the same since she is so easily offended by what the first lady did. She didn't.

Displaying the way that repulsive people are repulsive is an entirely different matter than the shock at hearing something totally unexpected coming forth from a icon of classiness.

Displaying the f-word spelled out three times as an example of how people are repulsive(there's a lot more she displayed) and telling a dirty joke -- sure there are some differences. But you miss the point.

You don't think that the president and Laura Bush receive hate mail with the f-word? What about Rush Limbaugh? What about FOX news? I don't see them publicly and graphically displaying their obscene mail with all of the vulgarities spelled out. How cheap is that? How vulgar is that? You don't think their's another way to make that point without coming down to the level of the person who sent the e-mail? If they wanted to communicate that they received such obscene hate mail do you think that they would simply say that they received hate mail with obscene words in it or do you think that they would graphically display the hate mail on their website for all the world to see?

Last week I received an X rated pop-up on my computer screen. Using your logic, it would be perfectly okay to post that picture here when bringing the subject up. What Malkin did was equivalent to what Laura Bush did and maybe even worse in that aspect.

You don't get that do you? Or are you a Malkin-bot who feels that she can do no wrong? For your benefit I'll assume you are the Malkin-bot and not a -- dunce!

Nonsense. Everyone on the internet knows what pop-ups are, and most of us who have ever logged on (I would venture to guess all of us) have been unfortunate enough to have been confronted with adult images that we didn't want to see. Everyone knows that people who are strong advocates on either side of the political spectrum get hate mail. What people may not know is the highly personal and hateful nature of the mail the Filipina Malkin receives. Especially so since it is supposed to come from people who pride themselves on being peaceful, thoughtful, and racially sensitive.

Even the mail that didn't use FCC-banned language was suggestive of attitudes about Asian women that are as shocking as any prejudice still existing in American society. I live in the most liberal city in the country, San Francisco, which has a huge Asian population. Most Asians in this city are liberals. No liberal in this city could get away with dismissing an Asian woman by calling her a prostitute. There would be hell to pay -- oops, I mean "h*ll."

If you are the type of person who faints at the sight or sound of the f-word, maybe the emails that Malkin posted were worse. The fact that you narrowly focus on the word and not the much more disturbing context in which it was used leads me to believe that you personally aren't offended at the word itself -- you just are trying to discredit Malkin by saying she doesn't have the right to expect better behavior from Laura Bush because Malkin put the word in her blog uncensored. That's silly.

Are you seriously suggesting that you would be in 100% agreement with Malkin if she had put "f*ck" on her site instead of spelling out the word?

Or are you a Malkin-bot who feels that she can do no wrong?

No. I think she's dead wrong about Puffy AmiYumi.
