Believe it or not the moves in the Catholic Church will help stiffen the conservative Protestants and their churches who are also under assault by the homosexuals as well!

I pray you are right, the demonstrations at the Southern Baptist Convention have gotten to be a real distraction.
The bottom line is that these perverts have made their bodies the object of worship, it's an idol just like anything else that gets in the way of the Almighty and the singular worship he deserves.

Good point. I believe you're right.

And it would be good to remember, Cardinal Ratzinger did not take the papacy of his own choice. He was placed there by the Cardinals almost by acclamation. He will be appointing new cardinals and it is safe to say they are not likely to be liberal in their outlook. If the forces in the Catholic Church who are determined to blunt its resurgent conservatism are looking beyond Pope Benedict XVI for a more liberal replacement, they are likely to be sorely disappointed.
