Good stuff. Has to be high-Anglican quote. RC's are too cheap with the stuff, in my experience.
At Easter we had two thurifers so that one could keep the smoke going while the other slipped behind the roodscreen to recharge. They and the priest censed everything in sight thoroughly and repeatedly. There was a high wind on the evening of the Vigil Mass . . . had a little trouble making fire out front on the steps, then once it got going there was real danger of somebody catching on fire as the flames roared. It was great! Even us choristers up in the rear balcony were enveloped in the rising cloud of sandalwood and frankincense (at least that's what it smells like - is there an official formula?)
