I am dismayed but I don't take it as seriously as you.

I was totally upset about this case, could not sleep and when people were outraged, I hoped it would fuel the powers that be to listen.

And I just don't care what the radicals say, we are too busy trying to get the message out about what is really happening here.

What has shocked me most was that many of my FR compatriots fought for MS. Made me totally question just who were these people I thought believed as I did.

So, it came down to which ones understood the outrage going on and which were unable to understand it. New lines were drawn across party lines. An amazing feat in itself.

And another amazing thing - why it is so hard for so many to understand why we are upset and that is the most unsettling of all.

We are talking a major shift in America to one where the state can kill a non-dying person.

We are giving life and death power to end-of-life panels and lawmakers that will mean legal extermination of those deemed unfit to live.

This will change forever the America we leave to our next generation and we are a step closer to nazism under a different name.

It has also identified out there the strong belief by many that some people OUGHT to be done away with as they are "useless eaters". And, many of these proponents are "conservative" freepers.

So, we now are seeing what is in future for all of us and it is enough to make us speak up.

Well, I can say from experience that it is those who shout the loudest who get the attention. I can also see that we do not agree on everything. And I have to say that the only time I have seen the term useless eaters used is by some of the radical Terri supporters. And the use of the term Nazism only serves to fuel my belief that you think such tactics will work. They won't. It was interesting talking to you.

I can't believe that there is such a seeming lack of outrage among so-called conservatives that we have reached a point in this country that says, in effect, you need a piece of paper to continue living. If you don't have that, depending on the circumstances, someone can come along and decide that you should be killed, and all they need find is a sympathetic judge who will control the flow of evidence in your "case" in just the right way to make it come out that you get starved and dehydrated to death.

I remember a time in this country when you didn't need a piece of paper on file with your lawyer or a court to guarantee your right to live. It was just assumed that you had the unalienable right to life (among other things). That seems not to be the case anymore. Terri Schiavo didn't have that paper, so they killed her. They rounded up enough so-called witnesses that said she said something once a long time ago, a judge admitted that hearsay evidence, and they killed her. So much for that old-fashioned notion of unalienable rights.
