Yes, you did miss a good thread. lol. I can't wipe the smile off my face; it was that good a thread. I have a special place in my heart for, especially, first-time nursing mothers. There is an art of breastfeeding. It's a wonderful art. And part of the art is being quite good and smart and discreet and in learning how to handle "crisis" feedings. I saw it as a wonderful challenge when my own were young. I didn't subscribe to the "let it all hangout" mantra. My babies and I met wonderful souls through the art of "breastfeeding" who helped us greatly. I learned about stores and locations -- stuff I never knew before. And again, I learned how civil people are, and helpful.

If you can start out at the very beginning of life with your newborn with a set of solid standards, you will fare well. How do you explain to a toddler that showing one's breast in public to "feed a baby" is okay; but somehow tell that same child that peeing in public is not okay? Or fondling themselves, or farting.

The hysterical pinpoint comes in when breastfeeding activists do the doosie hysterium rhetoric of "you are comparing breastfeeding to *THOSE ACTS*.

Yes.

Children observe from all points around themselves.

I'm ranting, using your post, cajungirl -- hoping new mothers will read.

How's the runaway bride thread going? I think she should pay for all those law enforcement expenses! ;)

We are all waiting, breathlessly, for her new hairdo. And the wedding is on. We are all just so anxious,,,I am worried a few freepers may take a hike to vegas to get away from the stress.
