She ran, she was NOT abducted

Only if she's rich as Croesus, or he's nuttier than a bedbug. ;o)
After her fiance calms down he'll realize she did him a big favor by bolting before the wedding.
Why not just say "I changed my mind" - instead of scarying her family to death, not to mention how much money she cost the police and the volunteers who gave up their time.
Well, at least daddy is gonna have a big hole in his wallet and have nothing to show for it but receipts. And his political repuatation is shot.
Agreed - he should run fast and far!
...and the media ends up getting played like a fiddle, all in all a happy ending.
Her friend said she'd been planning her wedding since she was 5. Not her idea? Yeah, right. What a spoiled, selfish woman.
Would not engender confidence I'll admit.
"This wedding might have NOT been of her making..."
Give me a break. She's 32 years old.
Maybe she had a nervous breakdown.....
"Wow, you're a tough one. Seems like there was a lot of pressure on this girl, with over 600 invited to this wedding. Why not cut her some slack until the facts are out?"
Why not some consequences, like a year in jail for using tax payer money to pay for the search she provoked? Fraud is punishable. People all over the place have done jail time because of fraud. If this is not now swiftly punished, we will get more and more of it. Also, she should lose her nursing license.
Bride = female; is there anything else to say? Except for Freeperettes of course.
Why was this national news?
- She is pretty
- She is white
- There was a good hook (14 bridesmaides, groom at the altar, etc...)
- There was a good picture to flash on the screen
This makes the case good TV. It was easy to produce a compelling story, and the national news chains picked it up as a prepackaged gift, and used it to fill air time.
The news vultures are a remorseless machine. They scoop of information and turn out minutes of air time, like some great sausage maker that never stops. And, as with sausage, they aren't too particular about what bits they use or what comes out the other end.
Also, note that my statment of yesterday that the presumptive groom would have to be absolutely insane to submit to a polygraph test was right on the money. The police would have had him convicted in the media before this woman had picked up the phone. His lawyer would have gang-tackled him and sat on his chest before he let him take a polygraph.
Or a "panic attack". I have no doubt we'll NOW begin to hear of her long history of mental illness.
While I suspected this was a "bolting" from the start, ya just never know.
Omigod! She's a nurse??
Fourteen grooms?? I don't blame her from running. Fourteen bridesmaids and no bride still doesn't a wedding make.
"Assuming this post is true, there's NO doubt she's the aggressor here, but the groom doesn't look like much of a jewel either. He radiates those "too slick" vibes in these photographs to me, same vibes as Bill Clinton. She's a coward for not calling it off earlier."
How do we know he wasn't in on this publicity stunt?
Absolutely..
He's got a ready-made alibi if he ever decides to dump her down a well..
"Looks like she done ran away again.."
I suspected something was a little off about her. She has a scared expression in every pic I've seen, eyes a little more open I mean.
