That case was different. The perp herself persisted (for days) in an aassertion about an abductor. She sent the cops on a search, for days, for a phantom. That's what she got billed for. The Duluth Ditz didn't persist, and I bet the cops didn't spend much (if any) effort looking for the blue van.
I don't care, bill her for the waste of resources. This whole case is nonsense and a waste of time and money.
