What about the search effort that took place in Ga? Just because we didn't find out until later that she had planned this in advance and that it was all a hoax doesn't exonerate her for the search in Ga.
I think what she did was despicable. Maybe understandable, for various reasons, but a crappy thing to do.
But I haven't seen the legal liability angle yet, other than her false statement about abductors.
There might be one. But many runaways (even adults) plan in adavance, and some stage fake events to take the cops off their trail. I'm open to evidence that this is actionable.
