I think it more likely that this is someone who knew the family (maybe someone who was hired to work on the wedding) who targeted her because they knew the families had money.

Perhaps a kitchen worker at the reception hall and his girlfriend, or a bridal store clerk and her boyfriend.

Now if we want to work up wild theories, I myself would discount the sex slave theory and go for Satanic cults roaming around looking for people to kidnap and sacrifice. /sarcasm

This is all great news, but definitely needs more embellishing. At this early point, I still have a nagging feeling this story could be cover for cold feet (slippers?) ... But it's still great news!
