ATLANTA (CNN) -- Jennifer Wilbanks, a Georgia woman missing since Tuesday night, has been found alive and well in New Mexico, a friend of the family told CNN.
Wilbanks was located in Albuquerque, New Mexico and told her family she had been abducted and taken there, according to John Kim, a friend of Wilbank's family.

Why am I imagining John holding her over a balcony ala Michael Jackson and his 'blanket'.
No disagreement from me on that. And if the cops wasted time searching for a phantom abductor, they have every right to recover the expenses.
But it's a different matter altogether to go after her for her own disappearance, without more than faking the circumstances.
Change the facts, "ever so slightly," where the woman is in an abusive relationship and fakes her own abduction to get away from abusive SOB. The cops look like crazy, but she hides. The cops find her a year later. Charge her? The waste in resources is indistinguishable from this case, and the lady took a selfish way out of her situation.
I have a different take on things. Her husband-to-be should get spanked by other guys for being stupid and brainless. Thank God they aren't married...yet. Who knows? But there is a price to be paid here by somebody.
Guess I'll have to wait for news reports to find the statute they'll use to charge her.

And he's right. Yesterday at this time, we were all hoping this was a case of "runaway bride" and not another senseless murder.
I think I'm over my anger at this chick. I kind of pity her at this point.
It could have been me. She was charged with sending the cops on a wild goose chase, not for herself, but for the phantom abductor.
I thought it was her fiancee...I think a lot of people did....but....the more I look at her....her eyes are "bugged out"....she looks like she enjoys her cocaine.

The Wisconsin gal was Audrey Seiler. She was convicted of filing a false report or obstruction, and odered to pay $9,000. One thing that distinguishes her case is that she persisted with the "there's a bad guy out there with rope and a knife" story, when she knew it was false. The cops looked for the phantom abductor. That is where her liability kicked in. Being missing, with nothing else, does not create liability.

The fact that the NM cops finally got the truth out of Jennifer faster than the Wisconsin cops did with Audrey doesn't matter. As I understand it it was hours of questioneing to get Jennifer to confess. A lie is a lie and afalse report is a false report.
Is that a teddy bear's butt peekin' out from under her hidey hood ?
