CNN: Missing Georgia bride-to-be found alive in New Mexico

ATLANTA (CNN) -- Jennifer Wilbanks, a Georgia woman missing since Tuesday night, has been found alive and well in New Mexico, a friend of the family told CNN.

Wilbanks was located in Albuquerque, New Mexico and told her family she had been abducted and taken there, according to John Kim, a friend of Wilbank's family.

Wilbanks said her abductors "came up behind her, cut her hand and put her in a blue van," Jones said.

Now I'm confused. Did they cut her hand or her hair?

According to family members, Wilson received a call at 1:45 AM EDT from Wilbanks from a pay-phone near where she claim her kidnappers let her go.

According to the family's minister, "Her abductors let her go," ..."They got scared and let her go and she made it to a pay phone and actually called the home."

My hometown is one of the safest in America, but my family would never ever let me walk, run or jog alone as darkness falls.

And even though Im pretty flippant about my own safety, even I wouldn't do it.

Just from my perusal of news items over the years, I think most abductions of women are done for sexual perversion, not for Satanic sacrifice.

Jennifer not knowing them doesn't mean that they didn't know the family and recognize her. I find it hard to believe that one would do a spur of the moment kidnapping of an adult woman.

It could be, but until we know more, I have to believe that the kidnapping was done for money, and one would have to know there was a possibility of GETTING some money.

On the other hand, maybe they were just looking for any young woman.

All of it is speculation, anyway. I assume we will eventually find out.

This is all great news, but definitely needs more embellishing. At this early point, I still have a nagging feeling this story could be cover for cold feet (slippers?) ... But it's still great news!
