Joyce Parrish, right, mother of Jennifer Wilbanks, and Wilbanks' fiance, John Mason, left, comfort each other during a news conference at the search command center in Duluth, Ga., yesterday. Police stopped their search for the missing bride-to-be yesterday.

They are now laughing tears of joy.

Did I really think in 1992 that terrorists were going to bomb the World Trade Center and Washington, D.C., and maybe Los Angeles?

Yes.

Do I really think that Hispanic males are not exempt from wanting sex slaves, as every other nationality seems to have been caught doing it? Well, yeah, it's possible.

It's also possible that Jennifer is a crazed hyperthyroid.

Wow!

What will the media do now?

lol! Are you kidding? Her mother was on Fox inviting them to cover the wedding. That's good for at least another 24-hour news cycle!

drive to Georgia, kidnap someone and then drive 1500 miles to cross the border

Yes, that would be a smart thing to do.

You think maybe Hispanics aren't smart enough to think that a kidnapping would generally only get local coverage and if they drive a long distance away the story wouldn't follow them?

Pissant was just complaining about how these stories are never usually covered nationally.

Are you kidding ?
This story is now ratings gold.
We have the reunion coming up, then the lead up to the postponed wedding, the wedding itself, the honeymoon, the tracking and capture of the abductors.
It can just go on and on.

There are so few happy endings to stories such as this. This is SWEET! By the way, I have always liked short hair on pretty girls. Maybe she'll like it like this for the wedding!

By the way, why do you think that they cut her hair?

Why anyone would jog at night alone in this day and age, anywhere, is beyond me. Unfortunately anything can happen anywhere. I especially like the ones who say how shocked they are when something terrible happens since they live in a neighborhood where you don't have to worry about locking your doors...ah, yes you do.

Too bad they didn't wake up this morning and have their wedding as planned.

"Do I really think that Hispanic males are not exempt from wanting sex slaves, as every other nationality seems to have been caught doing it?"

It's not that a "hispanic" male was mentioned, but the "illegal" that was prefaced. My statement was that all "hispanic males" are illegals. Seems that some people assume if something goes wrong and a hispanic male is involved they have to been illegals.

BTW...what's with the hyperthyroid stuff?

Wilbanks was found just hours after police in the Atlanta suburb started dismantling a search center, saying they had no solid leads.

I love this "Picasso" part!

****

"Here's where the discernment of the person surfing has to come in. There are saboteurs who will immediately try to spin the story, especially if it's political, and there will be people from every walk of life taking their shots until the end of the thread takes the original picture the story paints and turns it into a Picasso."

I think it more likely that this is someone who knew the family (maybe someone who was hired to work on the wedding) who targeted her because they knew the families had money.

Perhaps a kitchen worker at the reception hall and his girlfriend, or a bridal store clerk and her boyfriend.

Now if we want to work up wild theories, I myself would discount the sex slave theory and go for Satanic cults roaming around looking for people to kidnap and sacrifice. /sarcasm
