In yesterdays article posted at FR, the police were trying to decide whether to release the photo of the abused girl. Not knowing if that would put her in further danger or not.
They still haven't released the picture of the victim they are looking for but this little girl (pictured) knows who she is.
I would suggest that if you have children or grand children about this age that you ask them if she looks familiar.
Who knows? That simple act could possibly bring an end to the horror the victim is suffering.

$5000 sounds like a pretty low rent reward all things considered.

Child-porn investigators in Toronto discovered the pictures of the abused girl on the Internet and released some of them after digitally removing the victim in hopes of determining where the photos were taken. Clues from some of the photos suggest she may live in the northeastern United States or southeast Canada.

I remember reading about this. The Police would search a child pornography collection and the same picture of the same little girl kept comming up. It was heartbreaking, she'd get older and older.

Does anyone know how long ago the little girl on the couch was photographed in this picture? How old would she be now?
I understand a 1993 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was seen in the porn shots. That's another big clue.

She looks about, what, nine or so? If they've been circulating for three years, she must be at least 11 or 12 by now. Possibly older, if whoever took the photos sat on them for a while before giving them out.
Pretty sick stuff - hope they figure out who this is pretty quick.

Even sicker since it's likely a parent or guardian doing this to her.

Slightly larger version of the pic, on the off chance someone here will recognize her:

Yep. Someone close enough to the girl to take her to Disneyland, anyway.

Slightly larger version of the pic, on the off chance someone here will recognize her: It's more likely that another child about the same age would recognize her. I see kids in the neighborhood but don't pay any particular attention to what they look like but this girls class mates see her every day.
I'm saving the larger picture you posted and as my grand kids visit I will show it to them.

Another child her age, or parents of her friends. Something, I hope.

Does anyone recognize the childs toy? toy life cycles are pretty short and that could help narrow the time of the picture.

She is a beautiful young girl and she will turn out one day to be a beautiful young lady. It is way more than unfortunate that she will, and has, had her childhood destroyed by abuse. Decent people should be very angry when this happens.
In Coker v. Roberts the United States Supreme Court held that the death penality cannot be imposed for any offense which did not involve the death of a human being. These types of crimes show that elite judges have no concept of justice despite their title.

I was thinking the same thing. I can't place it, myself. It looks like the sort of thing a little girl might play with, though - my daughter's not really old enough for handheld game-type things, but maybe someone here recognizes it.

I know. I stare at it for a while, and I start thinking it looks like a little girl who used to live next door to us when we were in NY. It's not her, but it like you said, it could be a million girls.
It's too bad it's not a full face shot - it'd be easier to identify her if she were looking straight into the camera instead of at her toy.

To me it looks like some sort of childs pocketbook or small purse?
