< So, you think by moving to another state a job will be given to me instead of the illegal aliens? You must be dreaming as, as I said, your situation in life is different than mine. >
Umm...no. You expand your horizons and look farther from home. When you find one in another state, then you move. You'd be surprised at the people who say, "But I want to stay home". You have to be willing to go TO the job.

You are listening to all of these attack questions and think he is doing a bad job? I think he is doing great, because he is remaining calm and is explaining things to the people.
People listen and see things like this through their own filters. Thus we all see it somewhat differently based upon what it is we expect to see, hear or want to be communicated.
Look at this thread...... Some see the President doing great, wiping up the floor with the Press people. Others see it the opposite as he's a complete failure, can't communicate, won't support his base, afraid of hurting someones feelings,etc..... Then there are the one issue types who will not have a kind word to say but threating for the umpteenth time to leave the party and never vote Republican again.
Most likely the truth is that the event falls somewhere in the middle of these extremes. My guess is only political die hards follow this stuff and even watch it. So in the long run not a lot of people will be swayed one way or the other... Just my two cents...

I really don't get the lower income receiving higher benefits with regards to SS. All it sounds like to me is that those that pay in more will get less and get screwed again.

Heh, oh please. Yeah, I am going to petition congress to put that in Rumsfeld's job description.
It was a joke for God's sake.
Notice I didn't say rifle butt in the face? There was a reason for that my friend.
You are pulling my leg on this, right?

And that my friend, is what 66% of the American people want to be watching right now, Paris & Nicole. Bitching, whining, moaning and groaning about the only reality that matters right now, while waiting impatiently for W. to scram so they can watch reality t.v. Sometimes irony is too pathetic for words.

I was happy to see the president mention that sometimes SS totally rips off people because nobody owns the money they put into SS. And many times people put money in, die, and their money is essentially confiscated by the government. Which, in essence, is theft.

The base will still be much higher for well to do or maximum payers into the system. The rate of increase after retirement will be higher for the poor. The rate of increase is very small.

And I do know how press conferences operate, and neither the press nor the president are going about it right. I consider Mr. Bush a decent enough man, but my word, he needs to take the bull by the horns and bring these subjects up rather than waiting for the press to ask, which they never will. LOL. Now get back to ignoring me. Please.
Your comments are irresistable. Can't help myself! LOL

Maybe but, imo, these press conferences make for much more interesting reality TV> LOL

Ugh, I'm in a hotel in Virginia with NO access to Fox News. Stuck listening to
Clintoon
News
Network's Wolf Blitzer, Paula Zahn, Suzanne Malveaux, John King and UBER-idiot Paul Begala. "Still a divided country... I was hoping for some compromise with the Democrats... very little news came out of this press conference... still stands by his nominee John Bolton (quizzical look on Suzanne Malveaux's face)... no commitment as to when troops will leave Iraq.. his first term defined by 9/11... 2nd term... how many of his nominees will get through.. he certainly has a full agenda for his second term."
Up next... Larry King Live... yuck
*Sob*... somebody please fill me in on what Brit Hume, Sean Hannity et al on Fox News are saying abut the Prez's presser... (Thanks)
