I practiced psychiatry for over forty years. Never, not once, did I ever see a case where an iatrogenic addict was charged with any crime provided he or she had not committed some other crime such as theft, prescription forgery and so forth.

It would be interesting to know if anyone in Florida has with a similar addiction pattern has been charged with criminal activities. I would bet not.

This seems to be a selective prosecution. Most assuredly every minority addict in the state will applaud and also, no doubt, every liberal RAT.

Neither have I doctor. I think your having practiced medicine for 40 years, without having heard of this kind of prosecution is ample evidence that this is indeed selective prosecution.

It appears that in Florida "doctor-shopping" is under the heading of "and so forth".

Actually, Florida authorities announced several years ago that they were going to crack down on doctor shopping (which is what they're trying to nab Rush for). They've arrested and jailed a number of people for it (but it's not so highly publicized because they are nonentities).
