I always wondered about that. I've listened to him from time to time and knew he was Jewish. But I've always known the name Savage an old Yank / WASP name. I didnt give it much thought but wondered how Mike - NY gent and Jewish ended up with the name Savage.
Hmmmm.... Savitch is an Eastern European name, and I thought he was an Ashkenazi Jew from the east, not a German derivative like Michael Wiener. I guess it's common knowledge that that's his name, though, so I'll go wit' the flow. FTR, I don't think Wiener is a classicly jewish name either.
