Or maybe just publicity for his book.
More than likely what I is. I have no use for Michael Savage, BUT he know his audience and what they want to hear. And that is, rant rant rant we're going to hell in a handbasket rant rant rant George Bush is a moron rant rant rant I'm the only one who knows what the REAL story is rant rant rant it's the end of civilization as we know it rant rant rant.....buy my book cause I'm great.
but also has moments of utter Brilliance....
Name 3.
savage is insulting.
I agree has has incredible moments. but he has been zig zagging for some time now.. one week he defends President Bush, the next he insults and attacks him.
I still find him occasionally entertaining, but he has lost me as a regular listener.
Savage is the worst talk show host I've ever heard. i've been listening to talk radio for 40 years. I never missed Paul Harvey when I was a kid who was the closest thing to talk radio at the time.
I've been mostly a Rush fan since day one. He has deeply disapointed me and sometimes I get bored with his schtick and he is a GOP coolaid drinker. He remains entertaining and is mostly right.
Dennis Prager is by far the most educational and informing talk show host but he gets boring.
Laura is very listenable and funny.
Schnit is pretty good.
Larry Elder is good.
Savage is a mental case. He is nauseatingly repetitive. He is sickeningly in love with himself ... incessantly telling us what a brain he is. He's mind numbingly negative. He is hateful in the most sinful manner. His dog of coice is a fricking toy poodle. This schmuck's popularity is further proof that the human race is near self destruction.
Punditry 101. They all do it. Its just that we elevate the ones with whom we agree to genius status.
Exactly my point that I have tried to argue the whole time with Savage Bots (re: Savage speaks, I obey). Mind you, I've been a listener to him locally back in the late 90's. You can't rant forever, badmouth others forever, and complain forever and expect other to take you seriously. Inevitably, the act gets old, and people see it for what it is, a facade. And now, people are seeing through. We can no longer be told, "Ignore the man behind the curtain" no longer.
Good. I don't have time to track down read all this stuff anyways. I trust Rush & his staff to find the best and pass it along.
And 99% of the writers he's reading are immeasurably influenced by the Maha's 16 years of radio domination & conservative thought.
He is so washed up and laughable.
No, your analysis is.
Savage is the future of talk radio. Rush is the past. A great legend to be sure, but his time has come and gone.
I like Savage until he devolves into super-nebbish, but he is not the future of talk radio. He'd be nothing w/o the Maha blazing the trail. Rush is what? early fifties? He has another 15 years of radio and four more wives to go through!!
I first heard Savage on a small local station (KSFO 560 AM). Oh, did he lay into the San Francisco sodomite establishment. It was great hearing someone tell it like it is instead of that leftist cesspool on the 50,000 watt station across the hallway.
That is why he got syndicated, and the perverts still hate him just as much, only now he is nation wide and forcing an issue a lot of conservatives don't want to talk about - - illegal immigration.
Rush Limbaugh is the Socrates of talk-radio, the others are generic Platos, but Savage is a student of Aristotle and Alexander the Great on radio...
KSFO 560 AM? I just loved his analysis of the filthy sodomites running San Francisco and that two-ton Reichmarshall across the hall on the other station (you know of whom I speak)...
Yeah, Mike is a bomb thrower, but we ARE at war, remember...
My favorite by far is Michael Medved, but you are sadly mistaken if you think Savage has low ratings.
Savage is a giant and a bomb thrower, which is good, because we are at war in more ways than just one. Some people, even on our side, need a sharp smack upside the head to snap them out of the $hit...
"Savage claims that he's been bumped off four scheduled appearances on Fox News Channel in the wake of his caustic comments."
Hmmm...
Trash two of my employees...
...and then expect me to invite you over for a drink.
I must be missing something.
