The Warning Signs of Advanced Liberalism

1. You have to believe AIDS is spread by a lack of government funding.

2. You have to believe the same teacher who can't teach 4th graders how to read is somehow qualified to teach those same kids about sex.

3. You have to believe guns in the hands of law-abiding American Citizens are more of a threat than WMD’s in the hands of terrorists.

4. You have to believe there was no art before government funding.

5. You have to believe global temperatures are less affected by cyclical, documented changes in the Earth's climate, and are more effected by Republicans in SUV's.
6. You have to believe gender roles are artificial but being homosexual is normal.

7. You have to believe capital punishment is bad but unrestricted abortion on demand is good.

8. You have to believe business creates oppression and government creates prosperity.

9. You have to believe self-esteem is more important than character.

10. You have to believe the NRA is bad because it supports certain parts of the Constitution but the ACLU is good because it supports certain parts of the Constitution.

11. You have to believe taxes are too low but ATM fees are too high.

12. You have to believe Gloria Steinem and Jessie Jackson are more important to American History than Thomas Jefferson or Thomas Edison.

13. You have to believe standardized tests are racist but affirmative action is not.

14. You have to believe the only reason socialism has not worked anywhere in the world where it’s been tried is because the right people have not been in charge.

15. You have to believe minorities, especially blacks and Spanish speaking brown people, are inferior and incapable of individual advancement without government intervention.

16. You have to believe preaching "alternative lifestyles" from the front of the class is good but the Pledge of Allegiance "Under God" is bad.

17. You have to believe savage acts of terror are the moral equivalent of political discourse and/or an appropriate response to America's "crimes"; and to defend America against an attacker is "aggression" because the attack is our fault inasmuch as we are:
(A) leaders of, or
(B) patsies of the international Jewish-Zionist-Halliburton conspiracy, and if only those pesky Jews (and Dick Cheney) would stop picking on those poor terrorists and just quietly go to the showers then everything would be okay.

18. You have to believe in using the power of the government to steal from the productive, in order to give to the parasitical, and there is no distinction between true need and greed.

19. You have to believe Constitutional Rights apply only when you consider their application appropriate and, in the end, you know best what the great un-washed masses should think and do.

20. You have to despise Old Glory and the Republic for which it stands.

22. You have to believe Hillary Clinton is a respectable, honest, law-abiding, pro-American, pro-military, believer in freedom and democracy, and she is qualified to be President and Commander-in-Chief of the United States.

23. You have to believe illegal aliens invading America is good, but private unarmed citizens reporting them to the Border Patrol is a danger to the country.

24. You have to believe it is un-Constitutional to execute murderers but it is beneficial to execute the disabled and the unborn.

25. You have to believe more government spending is the solution to every problem.

26. You have to believe free speech does not apply when it is used to criticize liberal and leftist politicians, especially during an election campaign.

27. You have to believe Ward Churchill is actually a greater statesman, author, painter and teacher than Winston Churchill.
