I don't know why. They, like my Browns, need all the help they can get. That's why they'd want to trade down, for more picks, because like you said they need all the help they can get. Just like our Cleveland Browns.

Word on the NFL streets is that the Niners will try to trade down. I don't know why. They, like my Browns, need all the help they can get. Well, they have so many holes that instead of one pick at the very top, they trade down and get two picks in the first/second round--both of which can be starters.
