As you make yourself ready to celebrate the great holiday of Passover, And reminding yourself to thank G-D for the great miracles and deeds he did to us back then, let me join in by wishing you a real happy holiday, and may you have only happiness therefore after. And while celebrating the past, lets pray for the future, that Hashem should do us only good and relive us from the Paroes of today, who are here to remind us that anti-Semites was always here and they all had the same ending!
Enjoy your Matzos and Kneidlech, (and dont make a fuss of the Morer, its a part of life
) and enjoy the great holiday G-D has given us!
chag kasher v'sameach is a good greeting.
HAPPY PESACH!!!
A very happy Pesach to you as well (even if you don't celebrate it), and thank you for remembering us Messianics. :)
No synagogue in town. The closest is 25 miles away. It's an active community. The conservative and reformed groups alternate for services. They are next to our church and we see people, especially kids, there all the time.
Reform and conservative aren't religiously active compared to us orthodox. They go to synagogue once a week if that. Orhtodox go to synagogue twice a day, every day. I think the center is just that, a center and maybe they are using it for programing, classes, and youth groups.
Thanks --- I know.. Eight days of NO PIZZA .......
How do you think pizza originated? Roman soldiers in Judea flavored up matzah with olive oil, tomato sauce and cheese.
I thought it was the other way around. Jews were baking bread and didn't have time for the yeast to leavan (hence, the term unleavened bread). Besides, tomato sauce and cheese are NOT kosher. Not sure about the olive oil.
What are the Jewish prophetc gestalts associated with Passover these days?
That is, are there any assumptions or traditions to expect any particular types of prophetic events or Godly interventions around the time of Passover vs other times?
Seriously interested in your and the general Jewish perspectives on such things.
THX.
You can buy kosher for Passover tomato sauce and cheese. Olive oil too. You can make your own kosher-for-Passover pizza, but be warned: it sucks.
Of course the Jews invented MATZAH but Romans (non-Jews) in Judea invented PIZZA.
Thank you--enjoy your brews!
Ditto from a fellow Messianic..
Somebody invite me to eat the Passover!
:-)
Actually, I'd love a comment from anyone with such knowledge:

HAPPY PASSOVER!!
Is there going to be gefilte fish?
Passover isn't exactly meant to be "happy", but the thought is appreciated.
Yes. Just avoid it.
