You are correct, and when I found out about it, I nearly took my kids' pediatrician's head off him.

They have since changed their policy, and now inform parents about what company produced the vaccine, and whether or not it contains elements of aborted babies.

Regards,

PS: As a Catholic, I was nearly physically sick when I learned about this, especially since my kids had been vaccinated using Merck's chicken pox vaccine. I know I'm not guilty of anything except ignorance, but it still weighs heavily on my mind. (BTW...I STILL don't see the need for a chicken pox vaccine. I'd really rather they just GOT the chicken pox.)

VermiciousKnid, I know where that name comes from.

Did you know that Willy Wonka is a compassionate conservative? It's obvious that he uses little brown men for union busting, but he also extends a helping hand to 3rd world nations by employing them. Perhaps over zealous conservative patriots don't like having guest workers in their country, but how can one reject the work ethic and generous souls of the oompa lumpas? Many kind-hearted Christians would embrace this form of social justice.

The creator of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Roald Dahl) hated the Willy Wonka movie. Read fact #10

But the uncredited script goes mostly to David Seltzer. It will be interesting watching the journey of his soul's work:

Personally, I don't think that Wonka would like any title that assumes human respect (liberal, conservative, etc.). He's just a man with a vision, a guy that has a compassionate heart for sharing that vision, and a guy with a great recipe for chocolate. I've never tried, but if it's anything like Lady Godiva, then it's got to be good, right?

I would normally agree except that I know the complications list on chicken pox; the only "chicken" thing about it is the name.

However, having said that, we have killed chicken pox in this family of four kids no less than four times, one kid right after the other as they showed up with spots -- with vitamin C, about 6 gms when the spots appear. It's easier to kill than a cold, and they never caught it again, either.

We were about to leave a wintry area of the country to drive halfway across country for a move with kids ranging from ages 11 down to 1.5, all coming down in turn with chicken pox, with a huge Ryder van, a sedan and a small station wagon, and only two drivers. We love vitamin C for chicken pox.

We DON'T recommend the route down to Winnemucca from Idaho even sans chicken pox in the loads -- very dangerous and highly traveled by truckers and people scurrying over the state line to gamble. They like to pass on hill/curves (and didn't like me for blocking them from passing my whole family -- all three vehicles -- on those hills and curves) -- (smile).
