You are extremely ignorant of the facts. The good Cardinal, at the age of 14, like all German Youth in the later part of WWII was compelled to join the Hitler Youth. Do you understand the words that is coming out of my mouth -- "compelled" = "forced"

And he was allowed to leave less than a year later to study for the priesthood.

Also, his father vocally opposed the Nazi movement and, in fact, was forced to move his family to escape them.

Finally, after being forced to join the Nazi Army, Raztinger deserted to the Americans, and then returned to the seminary.

Facts are stubborn things, aren't they!
