You still haven't offered a solution to the "problem" you present.

Here's the solution:

The Pope should step down, apologize for seeking his own glory through seeking this station.

He should hand the reigns to someone free of the scars of the past.

He should ask the world for forgiveness for tempting evil to smile on this day.

And it that, he would, at last truly acknowledge and rid himself of his past.

Who?

I've asked you four times now, and you will not give a name. This tells me that you don't really have a solution to the so-called problem.

He tried to resign years ago. JP2 wouldn't let him.

He was elected to this position by others. There is no evidence of him "seeking his own glory".

He should hand the reigns to someone free of the scars of the past.

That would be ... NOBODY.

"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Heard that one before?

He should ask the world for forgiveness for tempting evil to smile on this day.

Yer awfuly hard on someone who was compelled to do some stuff as a kid many decades ago. There's some 60 years of his history since then to review for evidence of evil - care to tell us what horrible things he has done for the last half-century?

So...besides his past...what problems exactly do you have with this Pope? Or are you just going to keep posting your drivel with "Kerry-esque" replies that "something" else should have been done while not offering any suggestions?

Granted, I am not Catholic, so this appointment means next to nothing to me, except that it is nice to see the Catholic church stand up to the world and say "No! We will not bend God's word to fit your lifestyles."
