There is a book called "Catholicism for Dummies". It's written by a priest, and despite the irreverent title, is very clear and orthodox. You could probably get it on Amazon.

Thanks for the info...my son got me a gift certificate for use on Amazon.com, for my last birthday..still havent used it, actually had forgotten about it, so you reminded me I need to use some of it anyway....thanks for the info...
