Dear texasbluebell,
Nah. I'm not buying that one. Having been a fan of Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger for years, I sense that our beloved Holy Father's thoughts are to stick around as long as possible, to do as much good as possible.

I hope he sticks around for years, myself! He'll be a fine successor to JPII, and am looking forward to this "hardline conservative".

Having been a fan of Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger for years, I sense that our beloved Holy Father's thoughts are to stick around as long as possible, to do as much good as possible. Let's hope his model is his nomen-predecessor. Benedict XV pitched the "modernist" campaign of Pius X over the side. And, della Chiesa was definitely a moderate, sandwiched between two ultra-conservatives.
We must pray for the new Pope. He has an awesome responsibility.
