Well, what's funny is how they allow themselves and their emotions to get drawn into anticipatory fantasies of a liberal hippy free-love/situation-ethics pope being elected. In psychology, this is known as "projection."
They read their own internal fantasies into reality. It's certainly possible (theoretically) that something could go wildly wrong and a Hugh Hefner type could sneak through the college of cardinals via the secret society networks and turn the Vatican into a Playboy Mansion in Rome. But, contrary to liberal hopes, THAT DID NOT HAPPEN this time.

Well at least there won't be talk of women priests and a condom free-for-all for a while. So let the meds flow.. I think they'll need it intravenously ;-)
